Several representatives of PETRA Network, Office for Human Rights of the Republic of Croatia, and Croatian Ministry of Interior undertook a study visit to Switzerland. The main aim of the visit for the participants was to get acquainted with the ways in which Swiss institutions work with women victims of trafficking and domestic violence.

During the four-day visit the following institutions were visited:
•    MariaMagdalena, St. Gallen – counseling centre for women in prostitutions (who are often exploited or victims of trafficking)
•    Opferhilfe St. Gallen, St. Gallen – counseling centre for women victims of domestic violence
•    Federal police office for coordination against trafficking in persons, Bern
•    Xenia, Bern – counseling centre for women in prostitution
•    FIZ, Zürich – counseling centre for women victims of trafficking
•    Help, SOS line, Genève

The visitors also met with the representative of OAK Foundation, which financially supported the study visit.

Three participants of the study visit stayed additional three days, from 04th – 07th of July, in Aadorf and Bill, to make a research with women in prostitution, which is in Switzerland legalized since 1945.
