Women's Association Vukovar organized a meeting with institutions the mandate of which includes suppression of domestic violence. The meeting took place at Hotel Dunav in Ilok. Besides the representatives of Women's Association Vukovar, the meting attended representatives of the following institutions: Administrative Department for Health Care and Social Welfare of Vukovar-Srijem County, Misdemeanor Courts of Vukovar, Vinkovci, Ilok and Županja, County State Attorney's Office, Municipal Attorney's Offices of Vinkovci and Vukovar, Social Welfare Centers of Vinkovci, Ilok and Županja, Police Administration of Vukovar-Srijem County, Police Stations of Vukovar, Županja and Vinkovci, Committee for Gender Equality of Vukovar-Srijem County, Safe House Vukovar and Centre for Family of Vukovar-Srijem County. |

On September 12, 2008, Women's Association Vukovar hosted three students from the United States. The Association was visited by Megan Wood from Wellesley College, studying peace and Justice studies, Quinn Van Valer-Campbell from Fordham University, studying Political Science and Theology, and Eliza Burns from Smith College, studying American Studies, accompanied by World Learning representatives Orli Fridman, Academic Director and Gordana Borić, Program Assistant. |
