	Naši strateški pravci/ciljevi/aktivnosti Encouraging a local employment of women Objective: To increase women's access in the labour market through vocational training, devolopment of personal and social skills, self confidence and self-esteem as well as development of social entrepreneurship model. Working with people of „the third age“ (to improve the quality of life of older people by developing a different models of care, encouraging active aging, better cohesion and solidarity between generations and volunteering) Objective: Life quality improvement of people of „the third age“ by developing models of providing out-of-institutional support and the creation of leisure time for people of „the third age“. Working with youth (violence prevention among young people, working with young people showing behaviour disorders, addiction prevention, prevention of juvenile pregnancy) Objective: To promote multiculturalism and tolerance of young people in schools and local community as well as to encourage a volunteerism. Prevention and suppression of violence against women Objective: To improve and develop existing models of providing help in institutional and out-of-institutional work on suppression of violence against women in Vukovar-srijem County.

Within the action „Civil Initiative Monitoring (CIMON)“ was held the first of three planned seminars for capacity building of civil society. 17 representatives of civil society participated at the seminar. Theme of the seminar was project cycle management. Participants of the seminar were: Joint Council of Municipalities Vukovar, Women's Association Dalj, Women's Association „IZVOR“ Tenja, Association of Disabled Workers Vukovar, Association of Youth Borovo, Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Vukovar-Srijem County as well as representatives of Partnership for Social Development and representatives of Women's Association Vukovar. The three-day seminar was held by president of PSD, Munir Podumljak.

December 3rd, Vukovar

Women′s Association Vukovar implemented the project „Social Inclusion and Integration of Women Victims of Domestic Violence in the Labour Market“ in the partnership wirh Croatian Employment Service RO Vukovar. Project starts with the implementation on December 04th , 2010 year and ends on December 03rd , 2011.

Project is funded by the European Union through the grant "Establishing Support in Social Integration and Employment of Disadvantaged and Marginalized Groups" in IPA IV. Component- “Human resources development". Total project value is 103,800.11€ , part funded by the European Union is 83,486.42€ and a one part funded by the Government of the Republic of Croatia is 10,156.85€. Read press release here.

November 01st, 2011 Sombor

Representatives of Women′s Association Vukovar participated on the final conference whose organizator was Women′s Alternative from Sombor. Theme of conference was: women, peace, UN security 1325. Representatives of various institutions spoke about the importance of women′s civil organizations in managing of social changes as well as Resolution 1325 New concept of security.

October 21th, 2011 Ilok

Women's Association Vukovar held a third quarterly multidisciplinary meeting with the representatives of institutions under the project „Social Inclusion and Integration of Women Victims of Domestic Violence in the Labour Market" financed by the EU under IPA IV Component - „Human resources development". Representatives of the institutions reported about the number of cases of women victims of domestic violence, social assistance beneficiaries on the area of Vukovar-Srijem County. Representatives of the institutions indicated as one of the major problem in providing assistance to women their law level of motivation for participation to the labour market.

May 05th 2012, Vukovar

Vukovar-20120505 Employees of the hospital Vukovar marked a Day of Midwives in premises of Women's Association Vukovar. In purpose of this occassion they have done for free: checking pressure, blood sugar and weight check. There was more of 70 citizens of Vukovar and pupils of secondary school of Nikola Tesla who had a lot of questions for midwives. Day of Midwives for the first time is marked in this way and had a great interest of citizens who have praised the gesture of the hospital Vukovar.

March 19th – March 21nd 2011, Vukovar, Hotel lav

Employees of Women's Association Vukovar, under the Action „Civil Initiative Monitoring „CIMON“, participated on the first third-day partnership meeting with the employees of PSD, who are carriers of the action. The meeting was held at the Hotel Lav, Vukovar at 09.00 pm. Representatives of organizations jointly arranged a division of the tasks and division of the responsibilities and activities. Detailed action plans as well as guidelines for future work were created. This project is funded by the “European Union” under the IPA 2009 (Building Capacities of the CSOs for Monitoring and Advocacy in the Field of Democratization, Human Rights, Minority Integration and Sustainable Refugee Return in the Areas of Special State Concern).

Vukovar, March 03rd, 2012

Volunteers of Women's Association Vukovar were created greeting cards for elderly persons in premises of Association. Cards were produced from different types of materials and in various forms. Volunteers will give greetings to the members of Association on Women's Day, March 08th, 2012

Women′s Association Vukovar held third round table with representatives of local insitutions – CES RO Vukovar, Vinkovci; CSW RO Vukovar, Vinkovci; Police Station Vukovar; Croatian Chamber of Economy -County Chamber of Vukovar; Misdemeanor Court of Vukovar and media. The conclusion of the round table is that only a systematic and teamwork can achieve good results as demonstrated by the implementation of this project. Written decision may not be security for arrangements between institutions and organizations. When institutions recognize organizations that systematically working on a specific issue they also give their own contribution in planning and implementing of activities.
